After dithering over whether or not to invest in a coach for my first attempt at Taupo next year I'm now convinced that it's the most important factor in getting us to the start AND finish lines. And getting the right person is crucial - you are the only person that will know if it's feeling right. You go girl! Good luck with the change - a gutsy move mid year and, as you say, a difficult one to make. I always wear the same shorts. Washing? Well I don't do a laundry load every day and I leave the shorts in the pile until a load is ready to get done. I have made a cake while wearing bike shorts (and this was after a 3hr ride euugh - cake was lovely though). Glad you've got the all clear and thanks for the tips! You gotta be quick on the feet to unclip ay! I never thought about going downhill to get back into the pedals, I found it so hard trying to get in them while going up hill. haha I'll definitely have to try that next time. Thanks for the tip!
